Well, one down, one to go. First tribunal was very traumatic, I burst into tears when I came out (unusual for me). I had to wait for the decision, which was positive. The doctor's medical report was overturned. I scored 15 for sitting and standing alone. He scored me 0 overall! Judge was cross that both tribunals were not held together, but I still have to go next Monday and go through it all again with a different judge and doctor for DLA. Nothing is guaranteed. I had help from the local Welfare Rights volunteer, who was marvellous. I learned my lesson, if you have any forms to fill in for DWP, get help from CAB if help is available in your area. Thanks for your support, Jan xxxxxxxxxxxx

Glad to hear that common sense has prevailed Jan! Hopefully your DLA Tribunal will go well too. Any chance you can use your ESA decision to persuade the DLA Chairman, or is it too soon for the paperwork to be typed? I remember feeling totally exhausted and drained after my Employment Tribunal, to the point when a supportive work colleague said something kind to me I burst into tears. Its the mixed emotions - relief that you've won and its over, but annoyed that it had to come to this. Good luck for next week! Carol

Hi Jan,
Glad to hear that common sense prevailed, I've got my ESA tribunal later this month, and to tell you the truth after all the grief I've had from them, I'm quite looking forward to it!
love,

Oh Jan, I`m SO pleased for you!! You got the right decision, but it`s hardly surprising that you were tearful, after what you had to go through to get it! Hope the next one turns out as well, Kathleen x

Hi Jan, That's great news. I wish you hadn't had to go through all that though. I hope next weeks result is good too. Take care, Glenys.

Brilliant news Jan. Well done - just wish they supplied us with the energy we need to appeal at these bloomin' things Ann "I cannot do everything. I accept that. Not being able to do everything is no excuse for doing nothing." ~ Helen Keller
